NNAF Grants - National Network of Abortion Funds
Explore Power in Our Hands: A Learning Series About Self-Managed Abortion!

The National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) invests in abortion access. Our grants give money directly to the organizations in our network* so they can help folks get the abortions they want and need. NNAF grants support abortion funds, so they can support their communities.

*Only NNAF member abortion funds in good standing are eligible for grants.

NNAF Grants: Built to Meet Needs

Changing laws have created an increasingly hostile landscape for abortion access. So, we adapted our grants to match the growing needs of the member funds in our network. From multi-year general operating grants to rolling grants for special projects, each NNAF grantmaking program is designed to support the work abortion funds do every day.

Yellow lines intersect in the shape of a circle on a purple background. The design represents the NNAF logo.
  • We keep applications simple. Member funds can apply easily, so grants can help communities quickly.
  • When we can, we offer unrestricted grants and don’t require reporting. Support shouldn’t come with burdens.
  • We provide both rolling and scheduled grants. Funding season should last all year.
  • The Count On It Grant offers multi-year funding! The longer timeline means more flexibility for our member funds.

The Count On It Grant (COI) is our first unrestricted multi-year grant program! These funds can be used by abortion funds for general operating costs (similar to the Power Up Grant). But the two-year, unrestricted funding from the Count On It Grant gives member funds greater security and the ability to plan in advance.

  • Reporting IS required.

The Power Up Grant (PUG) is an unrestricted general operating grant. This program gives abortion funds the flexibility to strengthen operations, support their team, and provide care in their communities.

  • Scheduled application window.
  • Reporting NOT required.

  • Reporting NOT required.
