Financial and logistical assistance is available to those living in or traveling to Maryland for abortion care; we do not have income, age, or gestational limits.
Those needing support should call the confidential helpline at (443) 853-8445 and leave a voicemail with callback details, appointment information, and the desired services. Someone from our team will return your call within 72 hours (weekend and holidays permitting).
It is best to know your appointment date/time and the total cost of your procedure before calling. We can help you with a clinic referral if you do not have an appointment scheduled.
About Baltimore Abortion Fund
Founded in 2014, the Baltimore Abortion Fund (BAF) is a community based nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance and logistical support to people who live in or travel to Maryland for abortion care.
BAF operates a confidential helpline where our staff and volunteer case managers provide information on abortion care and make financial commitments to help clients pay for their procedures. We also coordinate practical support services like transportation, accommodations, and language translation to further remove barriers to care.
Through conversations, community events, and advocacy, BAF actively works to reduce abortion stigma and increase access to reproductive care.
Baltimore Abortion Fund's Community
The Baltimore Abortion Fund is a community-based organization that centers collective power and the leadership of people of color. In 2022, we supported over 1,700 people seeking abortion care in Maryland with over $700,000 of logistical and financial support. Over eight full-time staff and 125 volunteers make our work possible every year.
