If you live in Wyoming or Eastern Idaho and need information about where to get an abortion or help paying for an abortion, check out Chelsea's Fund's website or call/text Chelsea's Fund and leave a message. Someone from the Fund will call you back promptly and no later than 24 business hours.
About Chelsea’s Fund
Chelsea’s Fund was established in 1998 to assist Wyoming residents who needed assistance to access abortion care. Until recently, most Wyoming residents had to go out of state to access abortion services, incurring only the cost of abortion, but also the associated costs of travel, time away from work and child care. Even now, when many can access abortion care in Wyoming, travel may still require hundreds of miles of travel with the associated costs. In 2014, the Fund expanded its reach to include funding eastern Idaho residents. In 2019, we changed our name from Women for Women to Chelsea’s Fund to honor our determined and caring founder, Chelsea Kesselheim, who worked tirelessly for a just society where all have access to reproductive rights. Today, a vital part of our advocacy for abortion access entails challenging the multiple abortion bans the Wyoming legislature has passed since Dobbs. As a result, thus far, abortion remains legal in Wyoming, and Wyoming clinics (and Chelsea’s Fund) not only serve Wyoming residents, but also those from nearby states where abortion is banned.
Chelsea’s Fund's Community
Last year, Chelsea’s Fund helped over 200 people pay for abortions that they otherwise would not have been able to afford. We supported additional women with information about available providers and costs.
