About Colorado Doula Project
Colorado Doula Project (CDP) is a grassroots non-profit organization that provides free logistical, financial, and emotional support for people accessing abortion in Colorado. We support not only Coloradans, but also the increasing number of abortion seekers fleeing state bans to find safe haven in our state.
Our team works with each client to determine their needs and provides individualized, compassionate support in the form of procedure funding, travel support, meals, rides, and emotional support from our cohort of trained volunteer Abortion Doulas.
In a society that continuously threatens bodily autonomy, we provide vital advocacy, compassionate education, and nonjudgmental support to protect the bodily sovereignty of all people.Together we envision and work towards a world where reproductive justice is realized for all individuals and families, regardless of sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, class, and background.
Colorado Doula Project's Community
Colorado Doula Project serves Coloradans and people who access abortions in Colorado.
Get Involved
Become a volunteer with CDP! We have two volunteer pathways: general volunteers, who help with things like events and administrative support, and trained volunteer abortion doulas, who work directly with clients. Learn more about our volunteer opportunities here.
Whether or not you're interested in volunteering, anyone can take our Online Abortion Doula Training (ADT)! The ADT draws from our years of experience in supporting people through their procedures and includes modules on abortion procedure basics; emotional support/labor; physically supporting the body after abortion; doula self-care; reproductive justice; BIPOC and LGBTQ+ rights in reproductive healthcare; and more. It is applicable to prospective abortion doulas as well as those simply seeking to expand their knowledge on reproductive justice. Learn more about the training here.
