About North Dakota Women in Need Abortion Access Fund
The ND Women in Need Abortion Access Fund was established in 1999 to serve women in North Dakota who could not afford to pay for an abortion. Restrictions on abortion access unfairly burden women in desperate need: poor women, young women, rural women and women of color. We strive to break down these barriers by providing financial assistance and engaging in advocacy work.
North Dakota Women in Need Abortion Access Fund's Community
North Dakota has only one abortion clinic. Women must travel vast distances to get an abortion, and those travel expenses are high. Last year, the ND Women in Need Abortion Access Fund helped more than 200 women who otherwise would not have been able to afford an abortion or related reproductive health services.
