Instructions
If you live in Rhode Island and need help paying for your abortion or contraception (including emergency contraception), the Rhode Island Abortion Fund (RIAF) may be able to help. This Fund works directly with clinics, so ask your clinic to contact RIAF to see if they can help you.
About Rhode Island Abortion Fund
The Rhode Island Abortion Fund (RIAF) supports Rhode Islanders who choose abortion or contraceptive care but cannot afford the cost.
Rhode Island Abortion Fund's Community
In addition to abortion funding, RIAF started the Contraception Access Program to provide money directly to family planning clinics so that they can help them meet the needs of low-income, uninsured Rhode Islanders seeking contraceptive care. This program helps over 500 Rhode Islanders get contraception each year. Furthermore, as a result of the advocacy work that RIAF and other reproductive health groups have done, Rhode Island’s Prescription Equity Act now requires health insurers to include contraception as part of their coverage. RIAF also offers free emergency contraception at all our events and through community partners in the state.
