About Stigma Relief Fund

The staff of Whole Woman’s Heath created the Bush Relief Fund in December 2003 in response to their frustration with restrictions on abortion access. In 2008, Whole Woman’s Health voted to change the fund’s name to the Stigma Relief Fund in order to reflect their dedication to eliminating stigma surrounding abortion.

The goal of the non-profit Stigma Relief Fund is to financially support people seeking the health care they need and to protect people’s access to reproductive health services, including abortion.

Stigma Relief Fund's Community

Whole Woman’s Health manages six feminist health centers—three in Virginia, one in New Mexico, one in Maryland, and one in Minnesota —and abortion medication by mail, providing compassionate, high-quality reproductive healthcare services to more than 20,000 people each year. They are also active in politics and education in the communities they serve.
