About YWCA Kalamazoo Reproductive Health Fund

YWCA Kalamazoo believes everyone deserves access to reproductive, sexual, and gender-affirming health care services- especially those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), undocumented people, people of low income, uninsured people, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. We are on a mission to expand reproductive rights and access by launching the first of its kind in the nation’s comprehensive reproductive health fund for residents in Kalamazoo County, which provides free access to abortion care, doula care, gender-affirming care (i.e. legal name changes, products, HRT, HIV treatment and prevention, etc.), and emergency contraception. Launched in late 2021, this comprehensive reproductive health fund represents a larger step towards reproductive justice in Kalamazoo County, supported by advocates, clients, and local government in Kalamazoo.
