Our Justice’s Abortion Assistance Fund
Types of Support
- Emerge - a support group for people who have had abortions
- Financial Assistance
If you are having your procedure at a clinic in Minnesota, you may qualify for funding from the Abortion Assistance Fund at Our Justice. Financial assistance is provided to people 18 years or younger. For people who are 19 years or older, financial assistance is provided to people who are at least 13 weeks since their last menstrual period and have an additional circumstance (ie, homelessness, high risk pregnancy, domestic abuse, low income, etc). If you’d like to see if you qualify for financial assistance, here’s what you can do:
- Make an appointment with an abortion clinic in Minnesota.
- Please complete this request form, providing your name, pregnancy information, and additional details around your circumstances. We will return your message as soon as possible, usually within two business days.
- When we contact you, we will do an intake to determine if you qualify for financial assistance. We do not have enough money to help everyone who contacts us. If we do have funding available, we can help pay for a portion of your procedure.
Our financial assistance averages between $100-$300 per person.

About Our Justice’s Abortion Assistance Fund
The Abortion Assistance Fund is a program of Our Justice (formerly Pro-Choice Resources). Our Justice’s Mission is to work to ensure that all people and communities have the power and resources to make sexual and reproductive health decisions with self-determination and dignity. Our Justice’s Vision is a world free of reproductive oppression. Nothing less.
Our Justice’s Abortion Assistance Fund's Community
Our Justice is on the forefront of protecting and expanding access to abortion care and lifting-up Reproductive Justice throughout the Upper Midwest. Founded in 1967 by a small group of doctors, clergy, and community members to assist Minnesota women in accessing abortion care, Our Justice continues to support people’s reproductive human rights through: our Abortion Assistance Fund; EMERGE – a support group for people who have had abortions; our Advocacy Program grounded in Reproductive Justice. Our Justice empowers over 10,000 people every year with our programs and unbiased information about sex, pregnancy, and parenting so they can make the best decisions for themselves and their family.
Donating to your local abortion fund means giving women and transgender people who can get pregnant the resources they need to make the choice that is right for them. Because Our Justice provides unbiased information on pregnancy and parenting options – including adoption, abortion, and parenting – we typically do not receive government or large institutional funding. We rely on the generous support of a handful of committed foundations and dedicated individuals, like you, to support our one-of-a-kind programs.
You can also support this work by joining our advocate/volunteer community. These amazing volunteers and advocates focus on creating change by educating themselves, their communities, and their policy makers about the barriers people and families face in accessing reproductive health care and raising children, and how those barriers are a direct result of systemic forms of oppression that target people based on their race, sex, sexual orientation, class, gender, sexuality, ability, age, and immigration status.
